    Pride and Prejudice

Amidst the ongoing rhetoric and escalating political temperature, a fresh controversy erupted following remarks made by Sam Pitroda. Upon reviewing the clip, it became evident that while discussing diversity and varied traditions and food choices, he oversimplified the ancestral diversity of Indian people residing across different regions. While his remarks may have been intended as an observation, they inadvertently risked diminishing the rich tapestry of ethnic groups in our nation.

The Railway Men Unveils the Shadow of a Tragedy and Heroism

The first time I encountered the name Bhopal was in Ramesh Sippy’s iconic film, Sholay. Soorma Bhopali, portrayed by the legendary Jagdeep, left a lasting impression, capturing the city's dialect, tone, and jovial mood. Later, during college, Bhopal's name resurfaced in my mind due to the tragic Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984.

Muzaffarnagar Heinous Act: The Urgent Need for Combating Hate Crimes and Upholding Justice in India

Injustice anywhere, as astutely put by Martin Luther King Junior poses a grave threat to justice everywhere. The recent incident involving a teacher in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, ordering students to slap their fellow classmate, reflects not only a disturbing abuse of power but also a disturbing undercurrent of communal bias. The shocking video, capturing this act along with the use of a communal slur, has rightfully ignited a wave of outrage on social media. However, amidst the calls for justice, there's a disconcerting presence of those who seem to downplay the communal aspect, highlighting the dire need to address this incident as a hate crime and a manifestation of deep-rooted societal issues.

The Bulldozer Bullshit: An Assault on Constitutional Morality

In recent times, India has witnessed a concerning trend wherein state machinery has bypassed due process and established the dangerous precedent of bulldozer justice. This approach, where authorities take the law into their own hands and resort to demolishing alleged criminals' houses, undermines the very foundations of democracy, constitutional ethos, and the rule of law.

Unmasking the Monstrous Spectacle: Manipur Violence Unleashes a Dark Age of Shame

The recent horrifying events in Manipur have shaken our collective conscience and propelled us into a state of profound anguish. The viral video that stated violence perpetrated against women is a disgraceful manifestation of a deep-rooted issue that has scarred the face of humanity. As citizens of this nation, we cannot turn a blind eye to such heinous crimes, nor can we allow the dark shadows of such brutality to engulf our moral compass.

Upholding Democratic Values: Curtailing the Misuse of Ordinances

The impending decision by the central government to pass an ordinance for Delhi raises serious concerns about the misuse of this legislative tool. Ordinances were designed to be a last resort when the legislature is not in function, but their brazen misuse amounts to an assault on the elected government and undermines the very foundations of federalism and democracy.

    Deluge of Neglect

Delhi, renowned for its rich history and vibrant culture, has been reduced to a city grappling with floods. Today’s deluge serves as a grim reminder of the catastrophic consequences of poor town planning and inadequate infrastructure.

    Peace in Peril

When people have instilled a fundamental belief that drives them respect diversity, then any forms of power impugning or attacking the ethnicity can’t stop the dissenting people go on rampage. Authorities may call them rioters and arsonists, but they forget to address the underlying causes that create fury. This results unrest and irreparable loss to people and culture, and eventually translates into a situation beyond one’s imagination. This is happening in a city which is considered an epitome of peace and tranquility across the centuries through various peace treaties.

    Crude joke

The simple economics suggests that the surge in demands pushes the supply to increase the price. Here, Russia facing sanctions, thus trying to channel its unsold stock to India, however, for India it is an unsolicited import. Whenever unsolicited import takes place and it happens due to exporters' compulsion, then there is not even a bleak chance to welcome the export at an inflated price.

We've Indeed Come A Long Way: From Progressive Multiculturalism To Regressive Fundamentalism

We have indeed come a long way. From peaceful coexistence to vitriolic conflicting views on girl's attire to literally diminishing the idea of freedom, personal liberty, and choice. From the public funded schools to the colleges, and from the universities to government offices, the religious symbols can be seen throughout, mostly the symbols that signify the cultural hagemony of majority class. The symbols never provoked the minorities to question the establishment regarding the sanctity of a public funded institution because of such endorsements. More precisely, it's never been a problem for the largest minority community or any minorities for that matter. No uproar, no hue and cry. Suddenly, the state realizes to keep the sanctity of the educational institutions intact. The personal choice of a handful of girls reportedly posed a threat to the secular nature of institutions, isn't it rubbish?

    Democracy Dies in Darkness

This is disgusting that a Hindi Cinema actress peddles not only the lies in broad daylight but also makes a strong assertion that demeans and belittles the honest sacrifice our forefathers made for us. The recipient of a highly coveted civilian honor deliberately and disrespectfully attempts desecration of the sweat and blood of the freedom warriors. Surprisingly, a National TV Channel let this happen. They did not even refute the hyperbole and the atrocious lies or run an apology for spreading the hateful agenda. The audience crouching there played the cheerleader's role.

    Justice or Joke: India Ahead

The protestors and the people expressing dissents are sent to jail immediately. No bail, no mercy granted even in the times when their kith and kin are on death bed. In contrast, the prime accused of a gruesome mass murder receives VIP treatment for a whole week even when there is a substance in the allegation. What kind of justice system is it? This is not an individual case. Every citizen of India is a stakeholder. Today it is dissenting farmers, students, activists, and tomorrow it could be any individual. Unfortunately, citizens at large keep a mum over the uncountable tyranny and hardship inflicted upon another citizen.

    Goodbye RSTV!

After finishing my PGD from Asia's top Media School, I made my debut with RSTV. It was my first training school where I discovered the ABC of broadcast journalism. In a short period, I explored various things ranging from socio-economic dynamics to the political culture of our nation. Humorously saying, my mentor(s) and Editor believed that I was the most studious individual. They often expected me to decipher bulky reports tabled in parliament by different ministries. The reports drafted by top bureaucrats of this country always gave me the impression that they were designed cryptically.

It's time to celebrate the linguistic diversity

Natural Language Processing or the NLP is the next big thing we are going to witness shortly. Technocrats having expertise in AI and ML are making relentless efforts to ensure the percolation of the benefits arising out of disruptive technologies. In this quest, not just Hindi, but the other indigenous languages would see a surge of growth in terms of value and respect.
